Das Programm venture kick ist das erste seiner Art in der Schweiz: Der Pre-Seed Fonds will junge Wissenschaftler rascher, zahlreicher und erfolgreicher als bisher auf den Weg bringen, ihre Forschungsresultate in Produkte, Firmen und Jobs zu transformieren. Das Konzept für diese Förderinitiative zum Thema «science to market» ist in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Forschenden entstanden, die mit ihren Spin-off-Projekten als Unternehmer erfolgreich tätig sind. venture kick ist eine gemeinsame Initiative von Gebert Rüf Stiftung, ERNST GÖHNER STIFTUNG, OPO-Stiftung, AVINA STIFTUNG und Fondation 1796.
