Project description

Liquid is a personal finance app, design specifically for young adults in Switzerland, that aims to help people effortlessly manage their finances. In today’s consumer driver society, where making quick impulse purchases often only takes a few seconds, expenses can easily get out of hand. Unfortunately, tracking one’s finances is currently rather cumbersome, requiring a lot of discipline and manual data entry.
Liquid solves this problem by allowing you to sync with all your accounts from all your banks, automatically synchronizing your income and expense with the app. This is made possible via Open Banking, a technology that is completely new in the Swiss private banking sector. But Liquid goes even further. We don’t just want to create “another budgeting app”. We are creating an app that seamlessly integrates into your day-to-day life and makes saving and tracking your money easy and fun. We lay high emphasis on understanding our users by focusing on a design that is both easy and intuitive. Furthermore, there are gamification elements such as streaks, challenges and rewards that help you even more in making your financial journey as stress-free as possible.
Through this, we hope to help young adults make better financial decision, so that they do not have to worry about where their money went and can truly spend it on what is important to them. We want to give our users back control of their money.

Status/Results

We are working intensively on the development of Liquid and preparing for its public release. A functional version of the app is already live on TestFlight, allowing us to test usability and design, while we finalise the bLink application to enable seamless bank connections.
Once the bLink application is approved, we will launch public testing at the end of August to gain valuable real-life feedback from users. In parallel, we are collaborating with HTZ Aargau on the development of gamification elements, ensuring these features effectively motivate and engage users.
As the release date approaches, we are also ramping up our marketing activities, with a particular focus on social media. By creating and sharing more targeted content, we aim to build anticipation and excitement leading up to the launch.
