FOUNDER

Gebert Rüf Stiftung was established by entrepreneur Heinrich Gebert. His visionary idea: to bring innovation and entrepreneurial thinking into the world of science funding. A purpose that continues to fill a crucial gap — with lasting impact. Contributing to this mission is possible at any time.

As a donor of both capital and ideas, Heinrich Gebert endowed the foundation with CHF 220 million and set a clear guiding principle: Science Entrepreneurship. In doing so, he initiated a lasting innovation within Switzerland’s foundation landscape — one with strong leverage and wide-reaching resonance.

The momentum of Heinrich Gebert’s vision continues to this day. A testament to this is the CHF 6 million donation from Ursula Brunner, dedicated to strengthening the foundation’s flagship programs Education Pioneers and InnoBooster.
