Project management

Project description

What makes CO2 an unwanted waste is not its nature, but our inability to harvest it efficiently; at DeltaSpark, we see an untapped opportunity. Our multi-patented carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) technology is designed to permanently remove CO2 directly where it is emitted. DeltaSpark uses a modular electrocatalytic process housed in a standard shipping container to mineralise captured CO2 directly at the emission source. This ultrafast mineralisation process, up to 100x faster than any technology, transforms CO2 into durable building materials, while at the same time generating valuable products such as clean hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) and green acid (H2SO4). Modular, scalable, and containerized, our solution is fast, local, and profitable allowing hard-to-abate industries cut emissions for heavy emitters such as cement producers and waste incinerators.

Status/Results

The project develops a new way to store CO and turning it into sustainable building materials, helping reduce emissions from the construction and energy sector. By the end of the project, a pilot system will be running at an industrial site, demonstrating real-world use and enabling low-carbon construction solutions. The project is paving the way for DeltaSpark's commercialization, supported by strong partnerships and significant follow-up funding.
