Project management

Project description

Almer is developing Augmented Vision products and software services to help connect experts and front-line technicians in industries worldwide. Fueled by the growing demand for sustainable alternatives to business travel and remote assistance solutions in the industry, Almer’s mission is to revolutionize customer support applications by offering an easy-to-use Augmented Reality (AR) platform. Almer is innovating the professional AR market with its patented optical system which offers outstanding image performance integrated into an incredibly lightweight and compact AR headset.
In the event of a production problem such as a defective robot, the remote expert sees exactly what the local technician sees and can give instructions and virtually overlay relevant information (e.g. technical drawings, 3D models, animation and videos).
To fundamentally change the way companies can provide customer support, Almer’s Solution is a simple all-in-one plan that enables companies to introduce, maintain and scale remote assistance services effortlessly.

Status/Results

The InnoBooster enabled Almer to successfully enter the market with selected pilot customers in September 2022. With the completion of the InnoBooster project, more than 75 Almer Arc devices are in active usage on 3 continents, helping Almer to gather valuable feedback from different customers in different industries. Ongoing improvements include the integration of voice commands which allows users to operate Almer Arc completely hands-free.
Overall, Almer managed to gather a significant amount of industry interest and funding to support the development and launch of the next product generation in Q3 2023.
