DART is a testing lab bringing Design, Art, Research and Technology together to build clever human-machine interfaces. We support Swiss university research projects and Swiss early stage startups, test, scale and fund their ideas in San Francisco. We help companies stay ahead and invest in new human-machine interfaces where human needs come first.
What is special about the project?
We believe it’s time for a new type of incubator dedicated to interdisciplinary approaches and teams. A space to test and scale their ideas without losing creative freedom. By bringing the best designers, artists, researchers & technologists together with the San Francisco ecosystem we allow them to benefit from the best of both worlds. The only way we can stay ahead and build a future we all want to live in is by working together across industries and disciplines. Even the best technologies are empty without the ideas that bring them to life. We are seeking creative minds who can show us the potential. We believe this will lead to successful Swiss ventures and in the long run to more comfortable and natural interaction between humans and machines.
After a successful pilot year as DART 17. DART is now an independent company combining public and private grants with for profit activities to build a sustainable business model but at the same time guarantee a space for experimentation.
