Description du projet

Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is the leading cause of preterm birth, responsible for up to 40% of cases worldwide. It forces difficult medical decisions and can lead to life-threatening infections or severe complications for newborns. Current monitoring relies on infrequent, invasive blood tests that often miss rapid changes in a patient’s condition. MoleSense offers a breakthrough: the first fully non-invasive molecular wearable for high-risk pregnancy care. Using on-demand sweat stimulation, microfluidics, and ultra-sensitive nanobiosensors, it continuously measures key hormones and maternity biomarkers without needles or user intervention. This provides clinicians with real-time insights more frequently than current practice, enabling earlier detection of risks, better timing of delivery, and the potential for safe at-home monitoring.

Etat/résultats intermédiaires

At present, multiple stages of disposable unit production are all performed manually. With the GRS InnoBooster support, we will scale production from handmade prototypes to industry-grade manufacturing and run a pilot clinical trial to validate accuracy and clinical utility. This will position us to accelerate global access to this life-saving technology and set a new standard in maternal healthcare.
