Projektbeschreibung

Groam Tech AG was founded during the GRS Innobooster grant. The focus of Groam Tech is to offer sustainable materials based on agricultural biomass for the plastic industry. Groam is focusing especially on fast disposable objects with a short life span like packaging or products in the agricultural sector. Unique selling points of Groam’s offer compared to some petrochemical plastics and other bioplastics are a low carbon footprint, improved properties such as fire resistance and extended water resistance, energy savings enabled by 50% lower temperatures used during processing, compatibility with industrial machinery and ability to spare material by further light-weigthing Groam’s material into foamed products. Groam’s materials biodegrade in a compost environment. Today, Graom is working on scaling up the production and securing the supply of raw materials. By this, Groam hopes to lower the current price of its materials and technology. Groam is also working on regulatory, IP and commercialization roadmaps.

Stand/Resultate

Today, Groam is show-casing sample products to relevant industrial partners, customers and suppliers to partner up, while building a novel supply chain with a new, promising sustainable resource.
Next strategies for Groam are to raise funding for setting up a pilot plant with storage, office and production space for a team of up to 5 people, generating first sales by convincing customers to show-case Groam’s technology on their products. Groam needs to focus as well on the regulatory and IP roadmaps and triggering a financial up-round for scale up and securing the supply chain in Q4 2024. To mitigate these strategies Groam is looking for investors and partners via primary and secondary networks and visiting relevant conferences and fairs.
