Projektbeschreibung

Industrial and engineering companies are under increasing pressure to develop products faster to stay competitive. Shorter innovation cycles, global competition, and rising customer expectations require companies to move from idea to product in ever less time. However, one of the main bottlenecks remains the design process, which is still largely manual, time-consuming, and dependent on experts. In many cases, creating and validating a single design can take several days to weeks, slowing down the entire development cycle. nureo addresses this challenge by developing a software platform that automates the creation of manufacturable 3D designs. Instead of designing manually, users define their requirements, and the platform automatically generates 3D part designs. By simplifying complex workflows and integrating with existing design tools, the system makes advanced engineering faster and more accessible. This approach reduces manual design effort by up to 90%, increases productivity by 5–10x, and shortens development cycles by up to 50% from months to weeks. By significantly accelerating product development, nureo enables companies to innovate faster, respond more quickly to market demands, and remain competitive in a rapidly changing industrial landscape.

Stand/Resultate

nureo has developed a first version of its design automation platform and successfully tested it in real-world projects with industrial partners. These early applications demonstrate strong potential to speed up design processes, but further development is needed to make the solution robust, scalable, and easy to use in everyday operations. The InnoBooster project focuses on developing the next stage of the platform. This includes improving performance, integrating with industry-standard tools, and adapting the system to different use cases. The platform will be tested with more pilot customers and introduced into real production environments. By the end of the project, nureo aims to provide a market-ready solution. This platform will enhance the competitiveness of Swiss companies and contribute to sustainability goals through more efficient use of resources and optimized product designs.
