Projektbeschreibung

Brookings Institution points out that in order to accelerate positive, deep change in education, it is critical for primary and secondary school teachers to learn from the experiences of existing transformative approaches in the classroom, namely what other teachers have achieved and how they did it, also to clarify how powerful forms of 21st century learning can be spread and sustained, especially under challenging circumstances. Following this research-informed approach, Educreators Xchange came to life to stimulate knowledge transfer of emerging good practices of transformational innovation, as well as ideation of new projects at the primary and secondary school level across Switzerland.

Was ist das Besondere an diesem Projekt?

Since 2017 Educreators Foundation has been actively engaging with innovative kindergarten, primary and secondary school teachers across Switzerland, identifying emerging good practices of pedagogical innovations in increasing digital environments. 20 of these flagship projects have been supported financially through grants and promoted via media and strategic partnerships to a large public of Swiss and international educators and education organizations.
To contribute to knowledge transfer of emerging Swiss primary and secondary school classrooms innovations and to stimulate new projects ideation, Educreators Xchange was launched in 2021, aiming to:
- bring together innovative kindergarten, primary and secondary school teachers
- facilitate knowledge transfer of emerging good practices in transformational innovation in the classroom across Switzerland
- encourage ideation of innovative, pedagogically sound projects

Stand/Resultate

Adapting rapidly to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic outburst, the Educreators Xchanges started in March 2021 and went from a planned in-person format to an online format only at first (during lockdowns), and then to a hybrid format (during partial lockdowns and after the end of lockdowns).
Aiming for a wide national outreach, the project involved collaborations with cantonal and regional stakeholders and communities in the German speaking, French speaking and Italian speaking part of Switzerland. By the end of the project in June 2023, a total of 13 events (online and hybrid) resulted in a direct reach of 5’000+ teachers and education decision-makers on a national level.
