The construction industry is embracing digitalization to address long-standing productivity issues. While digital project planning (BIM) is being widely adopted there is still a disconnect between the information-rich digital models used for planning and the building teams, who still rely predominantly on 2d paper plans. incon.ai uses machine vision and augmented reality to provide a construction guidance platform which links building teams to shared digital building models via commodity devices like smartphones and screens. The novelty of our solution lies in its ability to not only show builders what should be built, but to identify errors and track building progress in real time. In our first targeted market segments of complex masonry and timber prefabrication, our software is licensed by contractors to remove the need for 2d plans, improve the coordination of projects, and enable novel construction methods through technological upskilling.
Through the support of the Gebert Rüf Stiftung and this Innobooster project, we will accelerate our market entry in our first target market segments. We will grow our team, adding competencies in sales and marketing for the construction industry, and incorporate incon.ai. Through pilots with lead customers we will refine our product experience and value proposition. By the end of the project period, we aim to have made our first sales and established our first revenue streams.
