Climbing is a trend sport and has now established itself as a leisure sport. Therapeutic climbing is an alternative to standard physiotherapy and has also established itself as a popular treatment method. But the problem is, climbing requires strength. Some patients that suffer for example from a handicap, overweight chronic illnesses, sensomotoric disorders or paraplegia do not have enough strength to climb on their own. That is where the E-Climber steps in.
The E-Climber is a device that supports the climbing person by reducing their bodyweight. It is kind of like an E-Bike for climbing. The E-Climber has an integrated bodyweight support system as well as an integrated auto-belay system. The patient is securely attached to a rope and with the reduced bodyweight, climbing becomes possible for many, when not all persons. Therapeutic climbing benefits greatly from our technology because with the E-Climber, physical prerequisites are no longer necessary. This is how the E-Climber revolutionizes climbing.
The aim is to develop our prototype of the E-Climber into a commercial product.
The development takes place in close cooperation with physiotherapists, rehabilitation clinics and climbing gyms. The aim of the second phase is to adapt the prototype from phase 1 so that it meets the legal requirements and can be successfully certified. The prototype will also be used to conduct tests with potential users and buyers.
