Projektbeschreibung

Renovation projects depend on local firms working well together. Yet work is usually awarded trade by trade, with separate responsibilities and information spread across calls, chats, emails and spreadsheets. This can lead to late decisions, unclear handovers, rework and unnecessary coordination effort.
MontaConnect helps regional construction companies make their existing networks visible and develop them into project alliances. The approach adapts the principles of project alliances to smaller and medium-sized renovation projects. Partners remain independent while working towards shared goals, clarifying risks and improving cooperation over several projects.
The project combines practical alliance guidance with digital tools. The beta supports company and alliance profiles, onboarding and shared project workflows. The next Alpha focuses even more on the AllianceFinder, simpler alliance formation, a clearer digital Project Space and apps for tradespeople. Specialist partners are intended to add cost checks, BIM capabilities and structured building and planning information.
Companies enter at different points. Teams with less digital experience often seek immediate help with everyday coordination. Digitally experienced planners are particularly interested in alliance methodology, joint learning and strategic cooperation. MontaConnect therefore introduces new processes step by step and can begin with existing tools before full platform use.
Private owners receive a separate entry through renovola, which helps turn ideas into a renovation concept and later connect with suitable regional firms. ModellMatch offers an interactive preview for comparing project delivery approaches. The podcast “gemeinsambesserbauen” creates conversations about cooperation and digital tools in construction.
In the longer term, MontaConnect aims to connect project decisions and execution records with structured building information. This could support maintenance, future renovation and reuse.

Stand/Resultate

The First Ventures VALIDATE phase ran from April to October 2026 with a grant of CHF 50,000 from the Gebert Rüf Stiftung and Albert Koechlin Stiftung. The project produced a functional beta, a more focused alliance approach and a network of practice, technology and startup-support partners.
Discussions with more than 20 companies in five regional alliance constellations clarified market interest and the support needed for adoption. BOPA confirmed support for the first alliance, and crais signed a cooperation offer for its BIM viewer. SIP Central supported industry access, startup development, co-working and participation at InnovateBau. Other integrations and cooperation discussions are still being developed.
At InnovateBau on 22 October 2026, MontaConnect contributed to a session, presented in the Makers’ Zone and recorded the first live podcast conversations. The beta and feedback helped specify product requirements, but completed multi-company pilots, paying platform alliances and measured time, quality or cost improvements were not yet established during VALIDATE.
MontaConnect will now bring paid alliance guidance and initial revenue forward. The Alpha remains a priority, supported by the Beta AllianceFinder and the separate customer-entry initiatives. Early investment from advisors and the founders’ private network is under discussion. No binding amount of follow-up financing is reported as secured. Continued development and hiring will follow available funding, revenue and real project progress which opens up future startup programs again.
